Sunstroke Shenanigans

Another memorable Bank Holiday weekend. First up our gig at Bar Du Port in St Tropez saw Carmine (tour manager), Gerrit (our St Tropez connection) and I enjoying some sun, sea and sand. Bar Du Port is right on the Marina and our next event on 21st July will be a 100 ticket only boat party with a live line up. Gerrit also looks after a drinks company who produce, amongst other things, a great drink called Ice Tropez which we more than happily sampled after the show! The following morning we met with Gerrit's friends to enjoy some great food and beach lounging. Too much sun for me and I ended up with sunstroke (n.b not nice! - imagine drinking icecubes in a rotating sauna). On landing in Newcastle that night for my second gig my plane was quarantined for thirty minutes because myself and handful of other passengers felt ill and with the current health alert in place they had to ensure none of us had been to the US or Mexico in the last two weeks before they let us off the plane.
I'm writing this entry from the train returning to London and still don't feel 100 percent right so I'll definitely be stocking up on factor 30 for Ibiza. To conclude, St Tropez 1 - Newcastle 0
